Sunnuntaina 28. Heinäkuuta meillä oli laiska päivä.
Tein paistinperunoita makkaralla ja sipulilla. Nopeaa, helppoa ja yksinkertaista. Ja myös salaattia, tomaattia, kurkkua ja salaatinkastiketta.
Mutta Sunnuntaina 29. Heinäkuuta vietin melkein koko päivän uunin edessä. Vaikka olikin kesän esimmäinen helleaalto. Isännällä oli nimipäpivä joten ajattelin tehdä jotain erikoista. Aloitinkin sitten tekemällä Isännän lemppareita, mokkapaloja.
En tiedä miksi, mutta aina kun teen näitä jotain menee pieleen... eivätkä ne ole edes vaikeita tehdä... Tällä kertaa vaahdotinkin vahingossa sokerin ja voin kun piti vaahdottaa sokeri ja munat. Joten minulla oli 150g voita ja 2dl sokeria vaahdotettuna enkä tiennyt mitä siitä tekisin.
Sitten keksin tehdä mustikkapiirakan. Kaikki ainekset löytyi paitsi tuorejuusto. Mutta sekään ei ollut ongelma koska Isäntä halusi lähteä ajelulle (autossa on paljon viileämpää kuin sisällä asunnossa, saati sitten ulkona, kiitos ilmastoinnin. Isäntä vihaa hellettä :D) joten kävimme nopeasti myös kaupassa hakemassa tuorejuuston.
Joten minulla oli nyt tehtynä palat sekä piirakka mutta vielä pitäisi tehdä ruoka.
Olimme ostaneet paahtopaistia ja minä pistin sen omaan punaviinimarinadiini. Joten se meni sitten uuniin uuniperunoiden kanssa. Ja lisukkeena oli tyypillinen salaatti, kurkku, tomaatti ja salaatinkastike ja juomana herkullista punaviiniä.
Ja tietenkin jälkiruoaksi mokkapaloja ja mustikkapiirakkaa.
Ei huono nimipäivä, vai mitä?
Ja jotta olisi ollut vielä hauskempaa täällä oli upea ukkonen Lauantai ja Sunnuntai öinä. Lauantaina oli upeaa katsella jatkuvaa salamointia autosta kun ajoin töistä. En voinut kuulla jyrähtelyä mutta valo show oli upea. Ja sitten taas eilen! Mikä yö! Jatkuvaa salamointia ja ukkonen oli ihan yläpuolellamme ja jatkui ja jatkui. Oli niin mukavaa nukahtaa jyrähtelyn ääniin ja kovaan sateeseen.
Ensin ajattelin, että en jaksa mennä sulkemaan parvekkeen ikkunoita, mutta kun aloin kuulla epäillyttävää lotinaa oli pakko mennä sulkemaan ikkunat. Ja jestas että kastuin! Enkä ollut siellä edes kauaa! Mutta satoi vaakatasossa kun tuulikin ihan mahdottoman kovaa. Se oli hauskaa :D

Minulla oli hieman hassu tunne mahassa illalla mutta ei mitään isompaa joten ei se edes häirinnyt. Siitä on ollut jo jonkin aikaa kun viimeksi ollaan syöty nauttaa ja juotu viiniä...

On Saturday, 28th of July we had a lazy day.
I made some fried potatoes, sausage and onion. Quick, easy and simple. With some salad, tomatoes, cucumber and dressing.
But on Sunday, 29th of July I spent almost the whole day in front of the oven. Even though it was this summers first heatwave. My partner had a name day so I decided to have something special. I started with making my partners favourite, mocha cake.
I don't know why but always when I'm making these I do something wrong... and they aren't even hard to make... This time I accidentaly frothed the sugar and butter instead of sugar and eggs. So I had 150g butter and 2dl sugar frothed and I didn't know what to do with it.
So I get the idea to make some blueberry pie. I had all the ingredients expect cream cheese. But that wasn't a problem because my partner wanted to go for a drive (it's cooler in our car than in our apartment, and definately cooler than outside, thanks for the air conditioning. My partner really hates the heat :D) so we stopped by in our local market to get the cream cheese.
So, I had made the cake and pie and yet I had to make our dinner.
We had brought some roast beef and I had put it in to my own red wine marinade. So in to the oven it went with some baked potatoes. With it we had the typical salad, tomatoes, cucumber and dressing and we drank delicious red wine.
And for the dessert we ate some mocha cake and blueberry pie.
Not a bad name day, eh?
And to make things more wonderful we had amazing thunder on Saturday and Sunday nights. On Saturday it was amazing to look the constant lightning from the car when I was driving from work. I couldn't hear the thunder but the light show was amazing. And again yesterday! What a night! Constant lightning and the thunder was just above us and get on and on. It was nice to fall asleep listening the thunder and the really heavy raining.
First I thought I won't go shut the balcony windows but when I started to hear some suspicious squelch I decided to shut them. And oh my, did I get wet! I wasn't there long! But it was raining so hard and the wind was blowing even harder. That was fun :D
Let there be lots of thunders like that! I love them!
I had a little bit upsed tummy on the evening but nothing really bad so I ignored it mostly. It's been a while we have eaten some cow beef or drank wine...
