Joulukalentereita / Advent Calendars
English below
Minähän tunnetusti pidän aivan mahdottomasti joulukalentereista. Joka joulu ostaisin hyvin monta joulukalenteria kuin vain mahdollista mutta joukossa on aina perinteitä kunnioittaen niitä samoja joita joka joulu.
Minulla on aina ollut suklaakalenteri. Ja juurikin se kaikkein halvin versio, joka on kuitenkin kaikkein paras. Se on joko Müller & Müllerin tai sitten Jaquosin (tai miten se ikinä kirjoitetaankaan, tänä vuonna löysin Müller & Müllerin). Nämä ovat aika hyvin kadonneet kaupoista. Löytyy nykyään vain muutamista (esim. Vapaa Valinnasta tai Tiimarista) ja ovat tosiaan halvimpia (tämä maksoi 1e ja hiukan päälle). Mutta ne ovat silti parhaimpia! Suklaa on hyvää ja kuvat ovat kauniita (vaikkakin kuvat ovat aikalailla joka vuosi samoja, muistaakseni viime jouluna minulla oli aivan samalla kuvalla varustettu kalenteri kuin nytkin). Olisin halunnut myös ehkä Fazerin joulukalenterin mutta se on jo niin kallis ostos, että ei raaski. Muut kalenterit eivät oikein houkutakaan edes. Paitsi ehkä Muumi, mutta luulen, että tyydyn tuohon yhteen rakkaaseen ostettuun kalenteriini.
Postissa tuli mukavasti myös Aamulehden oma luukkukalenteri josta voi myös voittaa palkintoja. Se on oikein mukava. Kuva on kaunis. Ja mikä parasta, kalenteri on ilmainen. Jokaiselle. Vaikka ei tilaisikaan Aamulehteä. Ihanaa :)
Kolmas kalenteri meille tulee vielä. Minun kangaskuuseni jossa on taskuja. Muistan kun ensimmäisenä jouluna kun sain sen sinne ilmestyi herkkujen lisäksi pieniä tavaroita. Kaikkein useiten siellä on ollut juurikin herkkuja. Suklaapalloja enimmäkseen mutta myös muita herkkuja. Tänä vuonna ajattelin täyttää kalenterin viime vuonna lahjaksi saamallani kiss kiss karkeilla jotka olen onnistunut säästämään. Huomasin niiden parasta ennen päivän menneen umpeen jo muutama kuukausi sitten mutta ihan hyviltä ne vielä maistuivat kun maistoin, rakenne on tokin hieman kärsinyt mutta ei se mitään. Mietin kuitenkin vielä niitä suklaapallojakin, voi olla, että päädyn sittenkin pistämään sinne sekä kiss kissejä että suklaata :D
Netissä on myös hurjasti kivoja joulukalentereita joita seuraan parhaani mukaan. Tässä pientä listaa joita satuin jo löytämään:
Positiivarien joulukalenteri 2011 on jo auki. Luukkuja tosin ei vielä saa auki ;) Tätä seuraan joka vuosi kovin mielelläni.
Mauri Kunnaksen joulukalenterin löysin muutama vuosi sitten enkä ole vieläkään saanut tehtyä koko Kunnaslandiaa, mutta jos tänä jouluna edistyisi jotenkin. Luukut aukeavat ympäri vuoden.
Aku Ankan joulukalenteri on myös jo pistetty pystyyn eikä luukkuja voi vielä avata. Kuva on tosin muistaakseni sama kuin viime vuonnakin.
Harry Potter -fanien viime vuotista joulukalenteria ei enää löydy eikä tämänkään vuoden kalenteria ole vielä pystytetty. Mutta se on yksi suosikeistani. En ole Vuotava noidankattilan foorumilla enkä ole suuren suuri fani vaikka kirjoista ja leffoista pidänkin paljon, mutta kalenteri on todella hyvä foorumiporukan tekemäksi. Joten seuraan mielelläni. Päivitys: Nyt on Harry Potter -fanien joulukalenterikin pystytetty :)
Konnun joulukalenterissa olen ollut itsekin yhtenä vuotena mukana. En tosin enää muista milloin ja miten mutta muistaakseni joskus ja jotenkin :D Kyse on Tolkien foorumi Vihreä Lohikäärme foorumilaisten tekemä joulukalenteri. Itsekin foorumille kuulun vaikkakin en ole siellä pitkään aikaan ollutkaan aktiivinen jäsen. Kalenteria seuraan kuitenkin ja toivon mukaan tänäkin vuonna taas saamme nauttia siitä. Päivitys: Epäilen ettei Konnulta taida tänä vuonna tulla joulukalenteria. Sen verran kun viestiketjua luin ei ole oikein tekijöitä ollut tänä vuonna tarpeeksi.
Santa Claus Worldin viime vuotinen joulukalenteri vaikuttaa kivalta. En sitä viime vuonna seurannut mutta tänä vuonna voisi seurata. Kalenteri on myös englanniksi :) Update: En löytänyt myöskään täältä uutta Joulukalenteria :(
TV:stä tulee tänäkin vuonna Tonttu Toljanteria! Mutta minä toivon, että tämän vuoden jaksot tulevat myös Tonttu ToljanteriTV:seen youtubeen jossa on myös monen muunkin vuoden jaksot, joita mielelläni katselen vaikka ympäri vuoden. Tonttu Toljanteri on ehdottomasti yksi parhaimpia lapsille tehtyjä joulukalentereita.
Toinen joulukalenteri jota on joskus näytetty tv:ssä mutta tuskin enää, mutta joka minulta löytyy DVD:ltä on The Joulukalenteri. Se pitää myöskin katsoa joka päivä tietenkin. Sarja löytyy myös youtubesta. Tässä esimerkiksi 1. luukku.
Siinä oli joulukalenteria kerrakseen. Päivittelen listaa jos satun löytämään vielä lisää kivoja joulukalentereita. Ja toki minulle saa vinkata mistä löytyisi kiva joulukalenteri jos juuri sitä en ole vielä itse löytänyt.
Se olisi viikko enää joulun alkuun. Tämän viikon sunnuntaina 27.11 on 1. adventti. Minulla onkin menossa jo pientä joulusiivousta. Tämä viikko vain on niin kovin kiireinen muutenkin (tiistai on ainut päivä kun minun ei tarvitse olla töissä/harrastuksissa/pikkujouluissa), että saa nähdä miten jouluvalmistelut tästä alkavat. Huomenna olisi tarkoitus saada matot tampattua ja lattiat pestyä. Viimeistään seuraavalla viikolla pitäisi verhot vaihtaa ja muutenkin hieman pistää valoja ja hieman koristella.
Pitäisi alkaa tekemään herkkujakin syntymäpäiville ja pistää pakkaseen ettei kaikki jäisi viime tinkaan. Tiedän jo mitä tarjoan, paitsi kakkua en osaa vielä päättää millaisen teen. Mutta sen teenkin varmaan vasta viimeiseksi. Ajattelin myös helpottaa hieman omaa taakkaani ja kysyn äidiltä jos häneltä saisin joulupipareita ja -torttuja kun varmaan äitikin niitä tekee niinkuin joka vuosi. Päätin juuri hetki sitten etten tee kumpiakaan tänä vuonna itse.
Ja mitä luultavammin emme vietäkään joulua kotona. Isäntä sanoi ettei meillä taida olla varaa viettää joulua kotona :( Minä olin jo ehtinyt vähän toivoa että pääsisin kokeilemaan millaista joulu olisi ihan vain kahdestaan. Mutta sen minä sitten päätin että tänä jouluna ollaan sitten vain yhdessä paikassa. Minä en jaksa alkaa ajelemaan jouluna taas joka päivä paikasta toiseen ja sekin tulisi sitten kalliiksi. Joten katsoo nyt missä olemme joulun tänä vuonna... Eli minun ei tarvitse alkaa tehdä ruokaa (harmi ja helpotus) ja sen takia en sitten viitsi niitä pipareita ja torttujakaan tehdä itse. Eikä saada sitten kuustakaan tänä vuonna mikä harmittaa varmaan eniten. Mutta jos sitten taas seuraavana...
Joulukuusta on kyllä tulossa aika hurja ja kiireinen silti vaikkei tarvitsekaan omaa joulua järjestää. On kuitenkin synttärit, töitä, pikkujouluja. Olen nyt laskenut siihen varaan, että kaikki vieraat tulevat synttäreille käymään. Muuten eivät sitten saa lahjojaan ellen sitten ehdi pistämään vielä postiin niitä. Joululahjakierrokselle en kyllä ehdi enkä muutenkaan varmaan ehdi itse tehdä vierailuita minnekään (jos nyt ehdin edes jossain vaiheessa niitä lahjoja hankkia... tehtävät lahjat ovat onneksi jo ainakin aikalailla valmiit :)). Ehkä sitten ehtisin jos ei olisi töitä. Mutta sitten ei olisi taaskaan rahaa ja raha olisi kuitenkin ihan mukava juttu.

Turun Sanomien tarina joulukalenterin on kirjoittanut Mike Pohjola ja omassa blogissaan on otsikko "Hevimusikaalin etko-osa 1825". En ole vielä ehtinyt lukea kahta ensimmäistä luukkua mutta nopealla vilaisulla 1. luukun lopustakin löytyy videota Turun Nuoren Teatterin näyttelijöiden lämpiöstä :) Mielenkiintoinen joulukalenteri siis. Ja ymmärsin, että tarina löytyy niin lehdestä kuin netistäkin.
Myös Korkeasaaren sivuilla on joulukalenteri. Tarjolla on kivoja eläin videoita :)

As you might know I love Advent calendars very much. Every Christmas I would buy as many Advent calendars as would be possible but among them there are always the ones which belongs to my every Christmas especially.
I have always had a cholocate calendar. And it's that cheapest version which is the best one. It's either the Müller & Müller's or Jaquosin's (or how it's written, this year I found Müller & Müller's). These calendars has been vanished pretty well in most of the shops. Nowdays I found them only on few of them (like Vapaa Valinta or Tiimari, in Finland) and they really are the cheapest ones (this cost about 1 euro and a little bit more). But still they are the best ones! The chocolate is delicious and the pictures are beautiful (although they are always the same ones, if I remember right I had same picture last year too). I would have liked to have Fazer's chocolate calendar but it's too expensive I couldn't afford it. The other calendars aren't even tempting me. Expect maybe the Moomin calendar but I think I will be satisfied with only this one dear bought advent calendar.
From the mail slot there came a very nice pad calendar from which you can win prizes every day, from Aamulehti (Tampere's local newspaper). It's very nice. The picture is beautiful. And the best thing, it's free. For everyone. Even though you hadn't ordered Aamulehti. Lovely :)
I will have a third calendar also. It's my fabric spruce with little pockets. I remember the first time I got it there appeard sweets and little things in the pockets. Most of the times there have always been sweets. Mostly chocolate balls but also other sweets. This year I thought to fill the calendar with my last year present of Fazer's Kiss Kiss candy which I've managed to save. I noticed their best before day has expired a few months ago but they still tasted good, the texture has suffered the most but it doesn't bother me. I still think also if I would fill the pockets with chocolate balls, maybe I decide to put them both :D
There's also lots and lots nice Advent calendars on the Internet which I try to follow. Here's a little list of them which I have found already:
Positiivari's Advent Calendar 2011 is already open. Although you can't open the pads yet of course ;) I follow this every year with pleasure.
I found Mauri Kunnas' Advent calendar a few years ago and still I haven't made the whole Kunnasland yet but I hope to proceed this year more. The pads are open whole year.
Donald Duck's Advent calendar is also open already although the pads aren't yet. The picture seems to be the same as last year.
I couldn't find Harry Potter fans Advent calendar from last year anymore and there isn't this year open yet. But it's one of my favourites. I'm not in the finnish Vuotava noidankattila (Leaky cauldron) forum and I'm not a big big fan although I do like the books and movies very much but the Advent calendar made by the people of the forum is very good. So I follow it with pleasure. Update: Now the advent calendar from Harry Potter fans is up :)
The Kontu (Shire) Advent calendar I've been making myself too in one year. I can't remember which year and how, but I think I were in some and somehow :D It's made by the people from the finnish Tolkien forum Vihreä Lohikäärme (Green Dragon). I'm on the forum too but I haven't been very active member anymore. But I will follow the calendar and I hope we get one this year too. Update: I'm afraid there isn't going to be an advent calendar by Kontu. What I saw in the bullet board there has been too few makers this year.
The Santa Claus World's last year's Advent calendar seems nice. I didn't follow this last year but I could follow this year. Calendar is also in english :) Update: From here either I didn't find a new advent calendar :(
On TV there is again this year Tonttu (elf) Toljanteri! But I hope this year's episodes will come to the Tonttu ToljanteriTV channel in youtube too, there's also episodes from earlier years and I like to watch them whole year round. Tonttu Toljanteri is definately one of the best TV Advent calendars made for children.
The other Advent Calendar which has been in the TV earlier but might not be shown anymore but which is found in my DVD shelf is The Joulukalenteri (The Advent Calendar). I must to wach it every day on December of course. The episodes are also found in Youtube. For example here's the 1st pad.
There were quite many Advent calendars. I will edit the list if I find some more nice Advent calendars. And of course if you know some nice ones please tell me too if I haven't found it yet myself.
There's only week left until beginning of Christmas. On this week's sunday 27th it's 1st advent. I've already started Christmas cleaning little bit. Although this week is going to be very busy already (Tuesday is the only day I don't have to go to work/hobbies/pre-Christmas party) so we'll see how the Christmas preparations are starting. Tommorrow I decided to beat the carpets and wash the floors. And next week latest I will change the curtains and put some Christmas lights and decorate a little.
I should start making delicates for my birthday party and put them to the freezer so everything wouldn't be left in the last minutes. I already know what I will serve, expect I should still decide what cake I will make. But it's the last thing I would do anyway. I also thought to make it easier for me and ask my mother if I could have some of her Christmas cookies and mince pies because she is making them too like every year. I decided I won't do either one this year.
And now it seems we propably won't be home on Christmas. My partner said we couldn't afford staying home this year :( I had hoped a little we could try how it would be to have our own Christmas together at home. But I did decide then we will be only in one place this Christmas. I just don't want to drive the whole Christmas from place to place and it would also be very expensive thing to do. So we'll see where we are going this year... So I don't have to make the foods (bummer and relief) and because of that I won't make my own cookies and pies. And we are not getting the Christmas spruce either which propably irks me the most. Well, maybe again next year...
December will be quite fierce and busy although I don't have to make our own Christmas anymore. But there is still birthday parties, work, pre-Christmas parties. I assume all my quests are really coming to the birthday party. Although they won't get their presents unless I can put them on the mail in time. I won't have time to visit everyone and bring them their presents myself (if I even manage to get the presents... at least the presents which I made are soon ready :)). Maybe I would then manage to visit others if I wouldn't work. But then I wouldn't get money and it's very nice thing, money I mean.

Turun Sanomat (Turku's Magazine) has a story Advent calendar which is written by Mike Pohjola and in his own blog there is headliner "Before Heavy Musical 1825". I haven't yet read the first two pads but with a quick glance in the 1st pad there is even video from the Turun Nuori Teatteri's (Turku's Young Theater) actors foyer :) It's going to be very interesting. And I understood the story is found in the magazine and in the Internet.
There's an Advent Calendar in Helsinki Zoo's website. There going to be nice animal videos :)

Mutta sen minä sitten päätin että tänä jouluna ollaan sitten vain yhdessä paikassa. Minä en jaksa alkaa ajelemaan jouluna taas joka päivä paikasta toiseen ja sekin tulisi sitten kalliiksi. Joten katsoo nyt missä olemme joulun tänä vuonna... Eli minun ei tarvitse alkaa tehdä ruokaa (harmi ja helpotus) ja sen takia en sitten viitsi niitä pipareita ja torttujakaan tehdä itse. Eikä saada sitten kuustakaan tänä vuonna mikä harmittaa varmaan eniten. Mutta jos sitten taas seuraavana...
Joulukuusta on kyllä tulossa aika hurja ja kiireinen silti vaikkei tarvitsekaan omaa joulua järjestää. On kuitenkin synttärit, töitä, pikkujouluja. Olen nyt laskenut siihen varaan, että kaikki vieraat tulevat synttäreille käymään. Muuten eivät sitten saa lahjojaan ellen sitten ehdi pistämään vielä postiin niitä. Joululahjakierrokselle en kyllä ehdi enkä muutenkaan varmaan ehdi itse tehdä vierailuita minnekään (jos nyt ehdin edes jossain vaiheessa niitä lahjoja hankkia... tehtävät lahjat ovat onneksi jo ainakin aikalailla valmiit :)). Ehkä sitten ehtisin jos ei olisi töitä. Mutta sitten ei olisi taaskaan rahaa ja raha olisi kuitenkin ihan mukava juttu.

Turun Sanomien tarina joulukalenterin on kirjoittanut Mike Pohjola ja omassa blogissaan on otsikko "Hevimusikaalin etko-osa 1825". En ole vielä ehtinyt lukea kahta ensimmäistä luukkua mutta nopealla vilaisulla 1. luukun lopustakin löytyy videota Turun Nuoren Teatterin näyttelijöiden lämpiöstä :) Mielenkiintoinen joulukalenteri siis. Ja ymmärsin, että tarina löytyy niin lehdestä kuin netistäkin.
Myös Korkeasaaren sivuilla on joulukalenteri. Tarjolla on kivoja eläin videoita :)

As you might know I love Advent calendars very much. Every Christmas I would buy as many Advent calendars as would be possible but among them there are always the ones which belongs to my every Christmas especially.
I have always had a cholocate calendar. And it's that cheapest version which is the best one. It's either the Müller & Müller's or Jaquosin's (or how it's written, this year I found Müller & Müller's). These calendars has been vanished pretty well in most of the shops. Nowdays I found them only on few of them (like Vapaa Valinta or Tiimari, in Finland) and they really are the cheapest ones (this cost about 1 euro and a little bit more). But still they are the best ones! The chocolate is delicious and the pictures are beautiful (although they are always the same ones, if I remember right I had same picture last year too). I would have liked to have Fazer's chocolate calendar but it's too expensive I couldn't afford it. The other calendars aren't even tempting me. Expect maybe the Moomin calendar but I think I will be satisfied with only this one dear bought advent calendar.
From the mail slot there came a very nice pad calendar from which you can win prizes every day, from Aamulehti (Tampere's local newspaper). It's very nice. The picture is beautiful. And the best thing, it's free. For everyone. Even though you hadn't ordered Aamulehti. Lovely :)
I will have a third calendar also. It's my fabric spruce with little pockets. I remember the first time I got it there appeard sweets and little things in the pockets. Most of the times there have always been sweets. Mostly chocolate balls but also other sweets. This year I thought to fill the calendar with my last year present of Fazer's Kiss Kiss candy which I've managed to save. I noticed their best before day has expired a few months ago but they still tasted good, the texture has suffered the most but it doesn't bother me. I still think also if I would fill the pockets with chocolate balls, maybe I decide to put them both :D
There's also lots and lots nice Advent calendars on the Internet which I try to follow. Here's a little list of them which I have found already:
Positiivari's Advent Calendar 2011 is already open. Although you can't open the pads yet of course ;) I follow this every year with pleasure.
I found Mauri Kunnas' Advent calendar a few years ago and still I haven't made the whole Kunnasland yet but I hope to proceed this year more. The pads are open whole year.
Donald Duck's Advent calendar is also open already although the pads aren't yet. The picture seems to be the same as last year.
I couldn't find Harry Potter fans Advent calendar from last year anymore and there isn't this year open yet. But it's one of my favourites. I'm not in the finnish Vuotava noidankattila (Leaky cauldron) forum and I'm not a big big fan although I do like the books and movies very much but the Advent calendar made by the people of the forum is very good. So I follow it with pleasure. Update: Now the advent calendar from Harry Potter fans is up :)
The Kontu (Shire) Advent calendar I've been making myself too in one year. I can't remember which year and how, but I think I were in some and somehow :D It's made by the people from the finnish Tolkien forum Vihreä Lohikäärme (Green Dragon). I'm on the forum too but I haven't been very active member anymore. But I will follow the calendar and I hope we get one this year too. Update: I'm afraid there isn't going to be an advent calendar by Kontu. What I saw in the bullet board there has been too few makers this year.
The Santa Claus World's last year's Advent calendar seems nice. I didn't follow this last year but I could follow this year. Calendar is also in english :) Update: From here either I didn't find a new advent calendar :(
On TV there is again this year Tonttu (elf) Toljanteri! But I hope this year's episodes will come to the Tonttu ToljanteriTV channel in youtube too, there's also episodes from earlier years and I like to watch them whole year round. Tonttu Toljanteri is definately one of the best TV Advent calendars made for children.
The other Advent Calendar which has been in the TV earlier but might not be shown anymore but which is found in my DVD shelf is The Joulukalenteri (The Advent Calendar). I must to wach it every day on December of course. The episodes are also found in Youtube. For example here's the 1st pad.
There were quite many Advent calendars. I will edit the list if I find some more nice Advent calendars. And of course if you know some nice ones please tell me too if I haven't found it yet myself.
There's only week left until beginning of Christmas. On this week's sunday 27th it's 1st advent. I've already started Christmas cleaning little bit. Although this week is going to be very busy already (Tuesday is the only day I don't have to go to work/hobbies/pre-Christmas party) so we'll see how the Christmas preparations are starting. Tommorrow I decided to beat the carpets and wash the floors. And next week latest I will change the curtains and put some Christmas lights and decorate a little.
I should start making delicates for my birthday party and put them to the freezer so everything wouldn't be left in the last minutes. I already know what I will serve, expect I should still decide what cake I will make. But it's the last thing I would do anyway. I also thought to make it easier for me and ask my mother if I could have some of her Christmas cookies and mince pies because she is making them too like every year. I decided I won't do either one this year.
And now it seems we propably won't be home on Christmas. My partner said we couldn't afford staying home this year :( I had hoped a little we could try how it would be to have our own Christmas together at home. But I did decide then we will be only in one place this Christmas. I just don't want to drive the whole Christmas from place to place and it would also be very expensive thing to do. So we'll see where we are going this year... So I don't have to make the foods (bummer and relief) and because of that I won't make my own cookies and pies. And we are not getting the Christmas spruce either which propably irks me the most. Well, maybe again next year...
December will be quite fierce and busy although I don't have to make our own Christmas anymore. But there is still birthday parties, work, pre-Christmas parties. I assume all my quests are really coming to the birthday party. Although they won't get their presents unless I can put them on the mail in time. I won't have time to visit everyone and bring them their presents myself (if I even manage to get the presents... at least the presents which I made are soon ready :)). Maybe I would then manage to visit others if I wouldn't work. But then I wouldn't get money and it's very nice thing, money I mean.

Turun Sanomat (Turku's Magazine) has a story Advent calendar which is written by Mike Pohjola and in his own blog there is headliner "Before Heavy Musical 1825". I haven't yet read the first two pads but with a quick glance in the 1st pad there is even video from the Turun Nuori Teatteri's (Turku's Young Theater) actors foyer :) It's going to be very interesting. And I understood the story is found in the magazine and in the Internet.
There's an Advent Calendar in Helsinki Zoo's website. There going to be nice animal videos :)

Viimeksi minulle oli sattunut pieni laskuvirhe. Kortteja ei ollutkaan 31. Mutta nyt niitä vihdoin on 32. Se saa luvan riittää. En jaksa enää tehdä uusia ja haluan aloittaa joulusiivouksen seuraavalla viikolla.
Nyt tarvittaisiin enää kirjekuoria ja postimerkkejä. Olen taas ajoissa korttien kanssa tänä vuonna. Onneksi! Vaan miten mahtaa käydä lahjojen... Toivotaan vain parasta. 17.-18.12 pitäisi nekin olla valmiina ja paketeissaan.
Ai niin, pitää minun kyllä vielä sen verran palata kortteiluihin, että teen kutsukortit synttäreille. Mutta niiden ei tarvitse olla kovin ihmeellisiä.
Vieläkään ei oikein tiedetä missä vietetään Joulu, joten en ole vielä tehnyt mitään ruokia. Onneksi Kotivinkin Jouluherkut -lehti tulee 15. päivä (toivon mukaan ainakin!) joten pääsen silloin hieman suunnittelemaan mitä tarjoan syntymäpäivilläni. Pitää vielä varmistaa tuolta Isännältä saanko sen voileipäkakun minkä minulle on luvannut tehdä jo aikoja sitten vai en :D

Last time I made a little miscalculation. There weren't 31 cards yet. But now finally I have 32 of them. It will have to do. I can't make any new ones and I would really like to start Christmas cleaning next week.
Now I would only need envelopes and stamps. This year again I'm really early with the cards. Luckily! We'll see although how it is with the presents... We'll hope the best. They should be ready and packed until 17th and 18th of December.
Oh, I almost forgot, I have to get back to making cards soon so I can make my invitations to the birthday celebration. But luckily they don't have to be anything fancy.
We don't know yet where we are going to spend our Christmas, so I haven't started making the foods yet. Luckily the Kotivinkki's Christmas delicates magazine is coming on 15th of November (hopefully!) so I can start planning what to serve in my birthday party. I should also ask for my partner if he is going to make me sandwich cake which he promised a long time ago or not :D

Joulukortti edistys / Christmas card progress

Valmiina on nyt 31 korttia!! Vielä pitäisi siis tehdä n. 2-4 ylimääräistä korttia koska koskaan ei tiedä tarvitseeko ylimääräisiä vai ei.
Enää olisi korttien kirjoittaminen jäljellä mutta se ei ole kovin vaikeaa tai aikaavievää. Saan siis pian vihdoin ja viimein nuo korttimateriaalit pois tuolta keittiön pöydältä rumentamasta. Hetken ne jo pois sieltä olikin tässä lauantaina kun saimme vieraita. Isännän isä ja veli perheineen tulivat käymään. Ja minä sain samalla pyörän vihdoin ja viimein! Saa nähdä koska sitä menee pyöräilemään ensimmäistä kertaa moneen vuoteen! Kauppareissutkin muuttuvat hieman helpommiksi, niin kauan kunnes lunta tulee maahan. Sitten en kyllä voi enää pyöräillä. Kypäräkin pitäisi varmaan hankkia...
Sain myös tällä viikolla aikaiseksi hakea Joululaatikot varastosta. Kohta saakin alkaa jo koristelemaan hieman :) Kynttilöitäkin pitäisi hankkia lisää. Alkaa varasto huveta. Nytkin on koko huusholli valaistu kynttilöin.

I have 31 cards ready!! I should still make about 2-4 extra cards because you never know if you are going to need more or not.
Now I should only write the cards but that's not a big deal and hard to do. So I can finally put those card materials away from my kitchen table. They were already away for a while on Saturday because we had guests. My partner's father and brother with his family came to visit. And finally I got the bike! We'll see when I can go riding it for a long time! My trips to market are going to be much easier until there is snow in the ground. Then I can't ride a bike anymore. I should probably get a helmet as well...
I also got my Christmas boxes from the storage. Soon I can start decorating a little bit :) I should also buy some more candles, my supplies are diminishing. I have candels burning all around the apartment even right now :)

Joululehti! / Christmas magazine!

Se tuli se tuli se tuli se tuli!!
Tänään putkahti luukusta Kotivinkin Joululehti.
Kävin takapihan Siwasta hakemassa glögiä ja suklaata, pistin joululaulut soimaan ja uppouduin hetkeksi sohvalle Jouluun.
On se jännä miten kummasti tuo lehti vain lataa akkuja, antaa puhtia ja energiaa ja varsinkin hyvää mieltä.
Ellei minun nyt pitäisi lähteä kohta musiikinteorian tunnilleni alkaisin siivoamaan tätä kämppää. :)

Today the Kotivinkki's Christmas magazine came from my mail slot.
I got some mulled wine (non-alcoholic) and chocolate from my backyard market, I put some christmas songs on the backround and immersed into Christmas on my sofa for awhile.
It's curious how that magazine charges batteries, gives vitality and energy and especially a good mood.
If I woudn't have to go to my music theory classes soon I would start cleaning this apartment right now. :)

Marraskuu / November

Marraskuu olis ihan justiinsa (kello on tätä aloittaessa 23:56). Ja minua väsyttää. Oliko yllätys?
No ei minustakaan.
Puhti on aivan poissa. Pitäisi aloittaa taas kuukausisiivous, mutta inspiraatiota ei oikein olisi.
Pitäisi hieman miettiä Jouluakin jo. Siihen kun on enää alle kuukausi aikaa (minun Jouluni alkaa 1. adventista, joka on tänä vuonna jo Marraskuun lopulla). Pitäisi pikkuhiljaa päättää mitä Jouluna tehdään. Varsinkin, jotta voisin alkaa sitten tekemään meille ruokaa ja herkkuja jos aiotaan viettää Joulu kotona.
Pitäisi myös hieman miettiä syntymäpäivää. Mitä tarjoisi vieraille? Päivät olen jo päättänyt ja vieraatkin. Voi olla, että joudun odottamaan vielä 15.11 asti, jotta saan käsiini Kotivinkin Joululehden Jouluherkut -lehden. Sieltä päätin tehdä myös jotain täksi vuodeksi syntymäpäivilleni. Viime vuonna tein herkullisia keksejä. Itse Joululehti pitäisi ilmestyä huomenna 1.11. Toivon mukaan putkahtaa siis postiluukusta! Pelkään, että ovat unohtaneet minut kun tilasin lehden jo aikoja sitten. Mutta sen näkee sitten tällä viikolla. Sitten minulla on jotain kivaa luettavaa (ihan niinkuin sitä ei olisi muutenkin jo tarpeeksi :D) ja pääsen fiilistelemään Joulua.
Sain tänään myös kuulla, että pidetään samantapainen itsenäisyysjuhla Isännän kavereiden kesken kuin viime vuonnakin, hyvää ruokaa, hyvää viiniä ja yhdessäoloa :) Pitääpä siis olla asunto Joulu- ja juhlakunnossa jo 6.12. Saa nähdä miten käy, jos tätä väsymystä jatkuu koko Marraskuun.
Kortteja ei ole vieläkään tarpeeksi. Niitä on edelleen sama lukumäärä kuin viimeksikin. Tänään tosin olen hieman värittänyt ihanaa Magnolia leimasintani. Ajattelin kokeilla muita värikyniä kuin puuvärejä tällä kertaa. Totesin, että tarvitsen uusia tusseja. Minulla on enää muutama käyttökelpoinen tussi. Ja eihän nuo nyt ole mitään "kunnon" tusseja muutenkaan. Haluaisin kovasti Pro Markereita. Annoin Isännälle lahjaideankin niistä mutta taitaa tulla ongelmaksi tussien kallius :( Mutta katsoo nyt jos joskus ostaisi sitten vaikka itse, jos saisi hankittua hieman lisää leimasimiakin jossain vaiheessa.
Lahjoja ei ole vieläkään hankittuna. Täytyy katsoa kuinka paljon palkasta jää rahaa tässä kuussa kun maksan viimeisen laulutuntimaksunkin. Voipi olla, että joudun odottamaan lahjojen hankintaa Joulukuulle. On minulla jo ideaakin mutta toteutusta pitäisi alkaa mahdollisimman pian. Olin ajatellut, että jos kaikki vieraat tulevat syntymäpäiville niin saavat sitten samalla lahjat mukaansa. Joten lahjat pitäisi olla valmiina kaikki mieluiten 17.12 mennessä ja paketoituinakin. Kortitkin pitäisi olla aikaisemmin valmiita ja postissa.
Tekemistä on paljon... saa nähdä miten käy...
Tekisi mieli kovasti leipoakin, mutta päätin etten sotke keittiötä yhtään tuon enempää mitä se nyt on sotkussa, joten leivon vasta sitten kun olen saanut kuukausisiivouksen tehtyä. Leipää pitäisi tehdä ja tekee mieli kokeilla taas jotain uutta herkkuakin.
Hainpa jouluapulaiseksi Sokoksellekin. On varmasti muista erottuva hakemus. Mutta tiedä sitten miten paljon ongelmaa tulee ajan kanssa jos olen päivätkin töissä. Mutta raha olisi kuitenkin kiva.
Isänpäiväkin olisi. Olen kokonaan unohtanut koko päivän. Olen tosin sinä viikonloppuna töissä, että tuskinpa pääsen isälle, tiedä sitten lähteekö Isäntä omalle isälleen.
Halloweenkin olisi. Mutta eipä sitä Suomessa kauheasti oikeastaan vietetäkään. Jos olisi aikaa ja jaksamista niin ehkä sitten olisi jollain lailla voinutkin noteerata. Pyhäinpäivänä tekisi kyllä mieli käydä kävelemässä hautausmaalla. Saapa nähdä kyllä, että onko veljenpojan syntymäpäiväjuhlat silloin myös. Vielä ei ole mitään kuulunut. Tuossa vaahterassa, joka on tuolla pihalla, ei ole enää ainuttakaan lehteä. Kovin ovat muutkin puut jo paljaana. Saisi siis pian tulla sitä lunta. Mutta toisaalta taas en toivo lunta. Voin vain kuvitella miten hankala työauto "Elsillä" on mennä kun on lunta ja pakkasta -_- (Kyse on pienestä ikivanhasta Nissan Micrasta vm-90 tai -91. Ei tunnu kovin turvalliselta kesälläkään).
Nyt voisi ehkä katsoa TV:n tarjoamaa kauhuleffaa, jos jaksaa.
Hauskaa Halloweenia niille jotka sitä viettää, muille ihan vain hauskaa Marraskuun alkua! (ja anteeksi hieman masentavasta postauksesta)

It's November soon (the time is 11:56pm when I start writing this). And I'm tired. Was it a suprise?
Well, I didn't think so either.
My energy is low. I should again start my regular month cleaning but I don't have inspiration for that.
I should start thinking a little bit Christmas already. It's only less than month until it is (my Christmas starts on the 1st advent which is this year in the end of November). We should soon decide what we are going to do on Christmas. Especially so I would know if I have to start making foods and delicates for us if we are spending our Christmas at home.
I should also start thinking about my birthday. What should I serve to my guests? The days when to celebrate I have already decided and all the guests too. It might be I have to delay my thinkings until 15th of November when Kotivinkki's Christmas magazine's Christmas delicates magazine is published. This year also I decided to make something from the magazine for my birthday. Last year I made delicious cookies. The Christmas magazine itself is published on 1st of November. Hopefully it will drop from my mail slot tomorrow! I'm afraid they are going to forget me because I ordered the magazine so early. But I'll see it this week if they have forgot me or not. Then I will have something nice to read (like I wouldn't have enough readings already :D) and I can get all Christmasy.
I just heard from my partner that we are going to have the same kind of Independence day celebration with his friends like we did last year, good food, good wine and togetherness :) So I should have the apartment cleaned up and all Christmasy until the 6th of December. We'll see how's it going if I'm feeling this tired the whole November.
There isn't enough cards yet. The number is still the same as last time. Although today I coloured a little bit my sweet Magnolia stamp. This time I thought of trying my other coloured pencils than wooden ones. And I found out that I need new markers. I only have few useful markers left. And those aren't like "proper" markers anyway. I would really like to have Pro Markers. I told my partner my present wish but the problem might be they are really expensive :( But let's see if I can buy them myself someday, maybe I could also get some more stamps too.
There's no presents either. Let's see how much I have money left in this month when I first pay my last singing lessons bill. It might be I have to wait until December before I can get any presents. I do have some idea but I should start fulfilling it as soon as possible. I was thinking about if all my guests arrive at my birthday celebration I could give them their presents as well. So the presents should be ready and packed before 17th of December. Cards should be ready before that also and in the post already by then.
There's so much to do... let's see how I manage...
I also would really like to bake something all the time but I decided I won't mess up kitchen any more than it's messed up already and I will bake something after when I can get my month cleaning done. I should bake some bread and I would like to try baking some new delicates.
I also applied for Christmas helper in the shop called Sokos. The application surely must stand out from the others. But I don't know how much trouble I will have with time if I'm soon going to be working on the day time too. But the money would really be appreciated.
It's going to be father's day soon. I forgot the whole thing. But I think I'm at work in that weekend so I don't think I can get to my father's on that day, I don't know about my partner if he's going to his father's either.
It would be Halloween too. But we don't really spend the day in Finland. If I would have time and energy I could have done something. On Finnish All Saint's Day (which is on 5th of November this year) it would be nice to go walking at the cemetary (we have this custom to take candles to the graves on that day, and that's it our "Halloween"). We'll see if my nephew has his birthday party on that day. I haven't heard from them yet. But I was planning if we are on his birthday party, we could stop by in the Tampere's cemetary to admire candles on the way back home.
That maple which is outside on the yard doesn't have any leaves left in it anymore. All the other threes are also quite bare already. So it should snow soon. But on the other hand I don't wish that. I just can imagine how difficult it's going to be to drive with work car "Elsi" when there is going to be snow and freeze -_- (The car is an ancient little Nissan Micra model -90 or -91. It doesn't feel quite safe in the summer either).
Now I think I'll watch a horror movie from the TV, if I don't get too sleepy.

Marraskuu olis ihan justiinsa (kello on tätä aloittaessa 23:56). Ja minua väsyttää. Oliko yllätys?
No ei minustakaan.
Puhti on aivan poissa. Pitäisi aloittaa taas kuukausisiivous, mutta inspiraatiota ei oikein olisi.
Pitäisi hieman miettiä Jouluakin jo. Siihen kun on enää alle kuukausi aikaa (minun Jouluni alkaa 1. adventista, joka on tänä vuonna jo Marraskuun lopulla). Pitäisi pikkuhiljaa päättää mitä Jouluna tehdään. Varsinkin, jotta voisin alkaa sitten tekemään meille ruokaa ja herkkuja jos aiotaan viettää Joulu kotona.
Pitäisi myös hieman miettiä syntymäpäivää. Mitä tarjoisi vieraille? Päivät olen jo päättänyt ja vieraatkin. Voi olla, että joudun odottamaan vielä 15.11 asti, jotta saan käsiini Kotivinkin Joululehden Jouluherkut -lehden. Sieltä päätin tehdä myös jotain täksi vuodeksi syntymäpäivilleni. Viime vuonna tein herkullisia keksejä. Itse Joululehti pitäisi ilmestyä huomenna 1.11. Toivon mukaan putkahtaa siis postiluukusta! Pelkään, että ovat unohtaneet minut kun tilasin lehden jo aikoja sitten. Mutta sen näkee sitten tällä viikolla. Sitten minulla on jotain kivaa luettavaa (ihan niinkuin sitä ei olisi muutenkin jo tarpeeksi :D) ja pääsen fiilistelemään Joulua.
Sain tänään myös kuulla, että pidetään samantapainen itsenäisyysjuhla Isännän kavereiden kesken kuin viime vuonnakin, hyvää ruokaa, hyvää viiniä ja yhdessäoloa :) Pitääpä siis olla asunto Joulu- ja juhlakunnossa jo 6.12. Saa nähdä miten käy, jos tätä väsymystä jatkuu koko Marraskuun.
Kortteja ei ole vieläkään tarpeeksi. Niitä on edelleen sama lukumäärä kuin viimeksikin. Tänään tosin olen hieman värittänyt ihanaa Magnolia leimasintani. Ajattelin kokeilla muita värikyniä kuin puuvärejä tällä kertaa. Totesin, että tarvitsen uusia tusseja. Minulla on enää muutama käyttökelpoinen tussi. Ja eihän nuo nyt ole mitään "kunnon" tusseja muutenkaan. Haluaisin kovasti Pro Markereita. Annoin Isännälle lahjaideankin niistä mutta taitaa tulla ongelmaksi tussien kallius :( Mutta katsoo nyt jos joskus ostaisi sitten vaikka itse, jos saisi hankittua hieman lisää leimasimiakin jossain vaiheessa.
Lahjoja ei ole vieläkään hankittuna. Täytyy katsoa kuinka paljon palkasta jää rahaa tässä kuussa kun maksan viimeisen laulutuntimaksunkin. Voipi olla, että joudun odottamaan lahjojen hankintaa Joulukuulle. On minulla jo ideaakin mutta toteutusta pitäisi alkaa mahdollisimman pian. Olin ajatellut, että jos kaikki vieraat tulevat syntymäpäiville niin saavat sitten samalla lahjat mukaansa. Joten lahjat pitäisi olla valmiina kaikki mieluiten 17.12 mennessä ja paketoituinakin. Kortitkin pitäisi olla aikaisemmin valmiita ja postissa.
Tekemistä on paljon... saa nähdä miten käy...
Tekisi mieli kovasti leipoakin, mutta päätin etten sotke keittiötä yhtään tuon enempää mitä se nyt on sotkussa, joten leivon vasta sitten kun olen saanut kuukausisiivouksen tehtyä. Leipää pitäisi tehdä ja tekee mieli kokeilla taas jotain uutta herkkuakin.
Hainpa jouluapulaiseksi Sokoksellekin. On varmasti muista erottuva hakemus. Mutta tiedä sitten miten paljon ongelmaa tulee ajan kanssa jos olen päivätkin töissä. Mutta raha olisi kuitenkin kiva.
Isänpäiväkin olisi. Olen kokonaan unohtanut koko päivän. Olen tosin sinä viikonloppuna töissä, että tuskinpa pääsen isälle, tiedä sitten lähteekö Isäntä omalle isälleen.
